Senior Software / Product Engineer

We're looking for a senior engineer who thrives at the intersection of product thinking and deep technical execution. You'll shape the architecture and user experience of Everkin from the ground up - working across our Go backend, Swift iOS app, and the infrastructure that ties it all together.
Tech Stack
- Go, Python, Typescript
- Swift / SwiftUI (native iOS)
- Android experience a plus
- PostgreSQL
- Agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)
- Modern CI/CD pipelines
What You'll Do
- Design and build scalable, reliable backend services in Go
- Develop polished native iOS experiences with Swift and SwiftUI
- Own features end-to-end - from system design through shipping
- Make pragmatic architectural decisions for a growing product
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, observability, and infrastructure
- Collaborate directly on product direction - this isn't a ticket factory
What We're Looking For
- Senior-level engineering experience (5+ years building production systems)
- Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, system design and cloud architecture (GCP, AWS, Azure)
- Proficiency in Go, Swift, Python, Typescript - with willingness to work across the stack. Or any OO language for that matter, we are not a leetcode company, but having a core understanding of the languages, their strengths and weaknesses, and an unusual love for clean code and design patterns will take you far.
- Proficiency with agentic coding workflows - tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development are part of your daily toolkit, not a novelty
- Expert-level testing discipline and an eye for the small details that separate good software from great software
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Experience with (or genuine eagerness to learn) modern machine learning workflows
- A visible portfolio - open source contributions, side projects, or live products we can look at
- A love of pets and all things animals - this one's non-negotiable
- EQ over IQ - we value empathy, communication, and self-awareness as much as technical chops
- Comfort working autonomously in a small, fast-moving team
