Careers

Everkin is a small, focused team building the pet health companion we always wished existed. We care deeply about craft, reliability, and making something people genuinely love. If that resonates with you, we'd love to hear from you.

Senior Software / Product Engineer

Hiring Summer 2026Full-timeRemote (US)

We're looking for a senior engineer who thrives at the intersection of product thinking and deep technical execution. You'll shape the architecture and user experience of Everkin from the ground up - working across our Go backend, Swift iOS app, and the infrastructure that ties it all together.

Tech Stack

  • Go, Python, Typescript
  • Swift / SwiftUI (native iOS)
  • Android experience a plus
  • PostgreSQL
  • Agentic coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)
  • Modern CI/CD pipelines

What You'll Do

  • Design and build scalable, reliable backend services in Go
  • Develop polished native iOS experiences with Swift and SwiftUI
  • Own features end-to-end - from system design through shipping
  • Make pragmatic architectural decisions for a growing product
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, observability, and infrastructure
  • Collaborate directly on product direction - this isn't a ticket factory

What We're Looking For

  • Senior-level engineering experience (5+ years building production systems)
  • Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, system design and cloud architecture (GCP, AWS, Azure)
  • Proficiency in Go, Swift, Python, Typescript - with willingness to work across the stack. Or any OO language for that matter, we are not a leetcode company, but having a core understanding of the languages, their strengths and weaknesses, and an unusual love for clean code and design patterns will take you far.
  • Proficiency with agentic coding workflows - tools like Claude Code, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development are part of your daily toolkit, not a novelty
  • Expert-level testing discipline and an eye for the small details that separate good software from great software
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
  • Experience with (or genuine eagerness to learn) modern machine learning workflows
  • A visible portfolio - open source contributions, side projects, or live products we can look at
  • A love of pets and all things animals - this one's non-negotiable
  • EQ over IQ - we value empathy, communication, and self-awareness as much as technical chops
  • Comfort working autonomously in a small, fast-moving team

We're hoping to open this role in early summer 2026. In the meantime, feel free to introduce yourself - we'd love to start a conversation.
